Arogya Bhagya Yojane, Karntaka State Fire and Emergency Services.
Karnataka Government has introduced a unique scheme called Arogya Bhagya Yojane to its Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services Personnel and their families, which was launched in 16th September 2008. This scheme is a self-financing scheme managed through monthly contributions from the Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services Personnel themselves & through medical reimbursement from the Government. The scheme is administered by a Nodal Agency having expertise in Medical administration.
The Nodal Agency identifies high-tech hospitals among Government recognized Hospitals for the purpose of medical reimbursement with excellent infrastructural facilities in districts and cities in the State At present, the scheme is running successfully enrolling 149 hospitals.
Evolution of ABY
- Announced on by the GOK vide order No HD 100 SFB 2008 September 16th 2008.
- Over 4,077 Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Service Personnel enrolled under the scheme.
- Over 149 Hi-tech hospital providers (including Govt. hospitals) are empanelled across the State.
Contribution under ABY
- Gazetted employees shall contribute Rs.250/-
- Non-Gazetted employees shall contribute Rs.200/-
